Prince Alfred College ANZAC Hall Upgrade

This refurbishment of ANZAC Hall at Prince Alfred College (PAC), east of the CBD, involved upgrades to seating, audio-visual infrastructure, lighting and the stage.

ANZAC Hall is the main assembly and performing arts space at PAC, one of Australia’s leading independent schools for boys. The new features have created a state-of-the-art facility for school performances, meetings, productions and presentations.

Works included the demolition of lightweight and structural elements, and removing the existing AV equipment. New speakers, projectors, lighting bars, house curtains and stage curtains were installed, along with four rotating walls standing eight metres tall to ensure optimum acoustics for different performance types.

The project’s unique methodology saw a spider crane driven through the Hall and onto the stage for the structural steel erection which alleviated the need to remove the recently constructed roof.
